image Update: Nuke Cops & Computer Cops Upgrade Schedule image
CastleCops
Both Computer Cops and Nuke Cops reside on the same hardware server and will be going thru an upgrade process in the immediate future.

We are currently residing on a Dual AMD MP2000+ 1.5GB RAM system. It has functioned very well until the start of December 2003 when traffic spiked higher. Because the server is seeing:

1.7 million hits sustained per month for nukecops.com
2.0 million hits for December at computercops.biz

It is having server load issues. In addition, computercops.biz is seeing a sustained 600-700 users online any given time, whereas nukecops.com sees about 300 users at the same time.

Hence we are upgrading to an Intel Dual 2.4 GHz Xeon hyperthreaded server with 4GB RAM. Our bandwidth will also be raised from a cap of 300 GB to 800 GB per month. This fits in perfect since we'll be offering branded email addresses.

Parts are being ordered and the upgrade should hopefully be happening soon. Stay tuned to this thread for more details if interested. Obviously some downtime will occur.

All this is made possible by JaguarPC. We're not sponsored by anyone, but I thought I'd give them a little plug.

--------

Computer Cops is the original PHP-Nuke powered portal focusing on PHP-Nuke security/privacy and beyond. Today it services many aspects of the security world.

Nuke Cops is a Computer Cops venture that has become an official PHP-Nuke development team with Francisco's blessings. It continues to service the PHP-Nuke community-at-large.
