On a less positive note, I give up. Alex, you win this one. CWS.Smartsearch is killing CWShredder, HijackThis, Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware as well as several anti-spyware sites when they are opened. I can't figure out how to make CWShredder evade this, so I'm recommending PepiMK's CoolWWWSearch.SmartKiller removal tool which you should run first.

CWShredder will then run properly and cleanup the complete parasite.

Also:
Fixed a bug in CWShredder that would not allow it to kill processes in Windows NT4 and thus not fully cure some infected systems.

CWShredder should now really be compatible with all Windows versions.
