Slashdot is running a story today about the standard epoch time in use and how the rollover to 1111111111 will be on Fri, 18 Mar 2005 01:58:31 UTC. Right now at 11:45:00 UTC, the Unix time is 1111059900. I'm a big nut for time, and this is certainly a milestone that only comes once in a lifetime -- among other things like the loved ones, cosmos, etc. Check out the to and from conversions over at the awesome calculator Online Conversion. This means, that on Eastern time, tonight at 8:58:31 PM, that milestone will be realized. Happy 1111111111 you standard epoch (based on seconds since 1/1/1970)!
