Just this week, an identity theft victim in Portland was able to find the crooks who stole his identity and turn them into the police. On their persons were signed checks, credit cards, and drugs. And would you believe it? Costco approved credit card charges on the stolen account which had an incorrect expiration date! Discover and Visa both contacted the victim and asked if thousands of charges were his or not. That led the victim to track down the crooks buying take out from Denny's Restaurant, and hiding out across the way in the Red Lion Inn. Chalk one up for identity theft victims.
