More than 1mn computers are connected to the Internet and are infected with malware. They generate spam and viruses and also flood websites with unwanted messages. According to the BBC Russian, this discovery was made by the HoneyNet, a group of researchers involved in Internet security.
Botnets of compromised computers launched 226 distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks on 99 different targets in a three-month period from November to January, according to new research from The Honeynet Project.
