image Spyware: Claria is Spyware image

Claria is Spyware as prescribed by the results from a Google Search and found as a title page at MauriceReeves.com. And yet, Claria has issued a press release thru PR Newswire...
68% of Internet Users to File Online; Use of Online Tax Preparation Sites Continues to Grow

Continues...
Traffic to tax-related sites skyrocketed as more surfers flocked to the Web to beat this year's upcoming April 15th filing deadline. 68% of people have either filed their taxes online or are still planning to do so, according to an independent study conducted by Feedback Research, a division of the Claria Corporation (http://www.claria.com), a leader in behavioral marketing.
Umm.. nice to know that "Claria is Spyware" as found in Google results is feeding Claria "anonymous data" from folks which call them spyware. Is Claria spyware? Check your friendly neighborhood search engine for the list of complaints against them. What do you think?

Here's what Andrew Clover of doxdesk.com has to say about Claria/gator.

http://www.doxdesk.com/parasite/Gator.html

Privacy violation
Yes. Every time a new site is visited, the address of the site (though not the full URL) is reported to Gator’s servers, with a unique user ID which can be used to track your web usage.

How anonymous is that?
