Hi,

I have an annoying trojan Trojan.DNSChanger.hg and can't remove it.
It shows up using an AVG antispyware scan. I ran it in regular mode and in safe mode, and it won't delete. Spyware Doctor detects it too but I'd rather use free software first. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You probaly have the wareout infection(90%) and will require the use the use of warefix.

That said there might be other malwares lurking so your best bet is to follow younGun instruction and get some help from the experts to do a complete clean of your 'puter.

BTW since you've already tried AVG ASW and it is choking it might pay to give the free version of the following software a cleaning run as a pre HJT log cleaning step.

All the best !

I solved the problem by buying SpywareDoctor.
Fixed everything in a jiffy. Sure beats waiting and waiting for a response here. I suggest that people who can afford 30.00 buy it

You are still infected

This is the wrong place for log review.

My suggestion would be to download the free version of SAS to nail the Yazzle part of the infection and the possibly the DNSchanger(Wareout) part of it.
http://superantispyware.com/

Still you will need to post a fresh HJT log in the following forum for Expert review Smile

All the best Smile
