Hello,
A month or so ago we purchased AntiVir PE Premium for the six computers in our office. I had a problem with one of the computers that I haven't been able to resolve, and I'm hoping someone will be able to help.
When I try to install, I get this error message: "Setup has detected an already installed version of AntiVir. Please uninstall this version before starting setup again."
I have searched through Program Files, Application Data, Local Settings, and even the registry, and can find nothing to indicate that AntiVir was ever on that computer.
How can I get past this error?

empty contents of all temp folders. Use this util to remove the reference, if there, to Antivir

Hi Cudni,
We do try to keep temp folders emptied out, but I searched for and deleted the contents of everything I could. Some files refused to be deleted:
Perflib_Perfdata_7e4
ZLT048aa.TMP
ZLT048ae.TMP
~DF2F59.tmp
~D4fD03.tmp
Of the files I was able to delete, I didn't see anything that was clearly associated with AntiVir.
I'm still getting the error message.

I found no reference to AntiVir in any of the temp folders.
However, I ran the utility, and it found no reference to AntiVir.

Cudni,
That thread proved very helpful. Nothing was working until I found a link to an official AntiVir uninstall program and registry cleaner. Those tools can be found here:

I never would have thought to look at upgrade tools...
After running these two program, the install proceeded without further problems.
