I can download windows updates but can not install. I have Vista home Pre. The error code is 641 i looked the code up on microsofts website followed instructions and still will not install updates. It will install some updates I would say 1 out of 10 might install. Most that wont install are microsoft office updates and vista updates any help will be great!! Thanks[/code]

Ok i did those commands. this is what it read in the command prompt
Direct Access <no proxy server>
