I have something on my laptop that won't let me go anywhere except yahoo homepage. When running antivirus program.... blue screen error and restart. Same thing with trying to run superantispyware and ad-aware 2007. These two programs are not able to update their definitions so I can't even try to remove the bugs. Microsoft MVP Consumer Security 2006, 2007 & 2008

Well good news, in my impatience I ran another antispyware program (Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware) Trojun Vundo was everywhere! The two Vundo remover programs couldn't find them. I got my internet access back and i'm not being redirected anymore. I can now download updates... I couldn't do that before. However, when I try to run the antispyware programs and antivirus programs, my computer restarts itself, then sometime says "no operating system found." I turn it off and it works fine if I don't run the scans. Here is my new HJT log:

Yes, thank you very much. I'm not having the ie hijacking problem anymore... however when pulling up the task manager I sometimes find several IE running but no browser windows open. Usually this is when I click to open a browser window and none opens, I find them. Also as stated before... the computer has an error and restarts when running the long version of virus scans, etc. please try to help. Thanks again!

Ok, I am going to have you run a few scans. When you run these scans, I would like you to shut down your antivirus and any antispyware programs you have running.



Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe or http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malwarebytes_Anti-Malware_d5756.html

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.

* Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
* The scan may take some time to finish,so please be patient.
