No real reason my firefox and internet explorer randomly freeze while searching websites. Also, if my computer stands idle for a length of time...not sure of exact amounts, it will freeze. I do not have a virus protection program as I have yet to discover it's worthwhile. If I could get your help it would be most excellent.

It's a good idea to use an antivirus, not so much for the viruses but for the trojans. Trojans are far greater threat to your computer than viruses, in my opinion. Antiviruses include protection for the more popular trojans.

I would suggest getting either Avast or Avira AntiVir. Both are free editions which do a competent job.

You're Ready for cleaning. Thumbs Up

It's not really the fact I can't get one...it's just, I have been using this computer for almost 4 years without any issues with viruses...mainly been able to keep it clean with spybot and other spyware programs...I also tend to use Registry Mechanic and Registry Defrag on a weekly basis...So I have really never needed a anti virus program...seems like I should start looking around.

Thanks for your suggestions...I will give them a go.
