hi, trying to get a solution for mydoom.
running vista 64 /avg/noadaware/spybot/superantispy/rmmydoom/hijackthis/fixmydoom/spysweeper.

i have run all these progs and more none can remove and most cant even detect it.
tried all in SAFEBOOT. didnt do anything.
noadaware mainly picks up on it but cant remove it.
hijack this can see the two files explorer.exe and regedit exe in sys 32 but cant remove it.
u cant see the two files in sys32 only with hijack this and noadaware. and u cant delete them or edit them at all.
finally- i reformatted and clean installed vista again. reinstalled no adaware and hijack this and it was still there? how can this be?

wipe your hard drive with a program like drivescrubber or the various freeware software that do the same. Then reinstall vista. A lot of times just reformatting doesn't do the trick.

Also, when reformatting, use the /u command. For example:

Format C: /u

This would have easily taken care of your problem without additional software.

I am having the exact same problem with this virus. I am also using Vista 64 Bit. It's driving me crazy!!!
Were you ever able to resolve this problem? If so, I would really appreciate it if you shared it with me.
