Man, I hate Vista...too buggy.

My wife's PC is the only one in the family with Vista. The other day it started doing something bizarre.

While she is working Vista AUTOMATICALLY starts launching instances of MS Paint. By the time she called me in it had launched 22 instances of Paint. I would go in and "Close All" but they would start up again as she was working.

I know very little about Vista (give me 2000, XP or Linux) and am beginning to want to know even less.

Any ideas?

Where can I get a license of XP?

Thanks,
Mitch

Check the default program(s) for the file types that are accessed by whatever program(s) are in use in the scenario(s) you describe. Make sure that MS Paint is not one of the default programs.
