Hi,

I recently purchased a router (for the sole purpose of connecting my Wii to the net). I recently started to notice that my internet connection has gotten slower with the router connected. Using this site http://reviews.cnet.com/7004-7254_7-0.html , my bandwidth is tested anywhere from 272 to 589.4 kbps with the router. Without the router and straight from my cable modem, I get around 1004 kbps. Is this normal? What's causing this?

It's a Linksys Wireless-G Model WRT54G. I have nothing connected to it other than my Wii (wirelessly). My computer is wired.

Thanks!

I just came across this problem with my sons computer. He's also running a router with Wii. Haven't found a solution yet.
Anyone with suggestions ... would appreciate it.
Cheers

The only "solution" i've came across, that might help you too, is from a commercial from my local cable company, saying to "Power down, power up". Unplug your routers power cord, wait 60 seconds, then plug it back up and your connection should be fast again. It seems to work for me, but still, seems unneccessary.

Anyone know why this needs to be done?
