My Dell C610 has never been known for its blazing speed, but lately it is absurdly slow. I must preface this with the fact that the Dell suddenly flashed a blue screen with much written on it and then immediately shut off before I could do more than glance at the screen. I tried defragging, cleaning and CCleaner, but after I started it again, it did the same thing after a few minutes. I was (after a few more shutdowns) able to discern that there was a memory error. I had put larger memory chips in the Dell a month or so ago, so I took them out and put the old ones back in. Since then, it seems to work OK, no more crashes, but it is painfully slow.
