I remember the site working before the XP SP3 update. Should I try uninstalling and reinstalling SP3. Or is it something else that is causing the problem that doesnt require reinstalling SP3.

i doubt this caused by and is worth removing for SP3

Looks like I am going to bring this post back from the grave and say that uninstalling XP SP3 did in fact fix the problem. I am going to be trying a reinstall later whenever I get the chance.
I find it quite weird that SP3 caused this problem but maybe something happened with the installation. Hopefully the problem wont come up again.
