Hello all, this is my first post so I hope I don't tread on any toes.

I work as a computer tech and recently developed a burning desire to learn VB6 (yes I know it's old, but it's somewhere to start). I've written a fairly simple tool that I'm happy to distribute completely freeware (with no ads etc) that I have already found to be useful.

It's core function is to show a number of registry values as documented by Symantec as being common entry points for malware. Their list is at:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ent-security.nsf/docid/2001060517115206?Open&src=tranus_con_br&docid=1999052415383948&nsf=ent-security.nsf&view=docid

What makes my tool a little handier is that it allows the user to take a snapshot of these registry values, taken while the system is clean. That would be pretty useless without the ability to compare the current values (maybe when the system appears to be infected with something or other) with a previously saved snapshot, so of course that is there too. There is also a 'Snapshot to' function to allow the snapshot to be saved to say a usb flash drive or network drive. There is also a facility to print the snapshot.

As I don't have a website I was wondering if someone knowledgeable here might like to look it over and host it for download if deemed of any value.

Again, if I've inadvertently broken a forum rule with this post, I apologize.

Regards,

Mike H
