I have no clue where this came from but one day it was in C:\Downloads, tried to delete it and it says:

Error Deleting File or Folder

Cannot delete hurlPNM: There has been a sharing violation.

The source or destination file may be in use.

Its only 62 bytes, i just wanted it deleted from the computer. Id really appreciate anyone's help, thanks.

dont know why you want to delete it (what does it do to you ?), but try it in save mode, to get there depending on your system :

If your computer is running Windows 98 or Windows ME

From the Windows Start menu, go to Shut Down and click Restart.

As the computer restarts, press and hold the CTRL key.
Note: On some keyboards you can press and hold the flying Window key. On some computers, the F8 key can be used instead of the CTRL key.

From the Windows Start-up menu, type the number for the Safe Mode option or press F5.

Wait for your desktop to appear. Your computer will run slower, and your icons may appear larger with fewer colors. The words Safe Mode appear in all corners of your screen.

If your computer is running Windows 2000

From the Windows Start menu, go to Shut Down and click Restart.

As the computer restarts, watch for the message For troubleshooting and advanced startup options for Windows 2000, press F8 at the bottom of the screen.

Press F8 before the message clears the screen.

From the Windows Start-up menu, type the number for the Safe Mode option.

Wait for your desktop to appear,

If your computer is running Windows XP

From the Windows Start menu, go to Turn off computer and click Restart.

As the computer restarts, watch for a progress bar at the bottom of the screen. press F8 about once every second.

Immediately press F8 before the progress bar reaches the right side of the screen.

From the Windows Start-up menu, highlight Safe Mode and press Enter.

Wait for your desktop to appear,

If your computer is running Windows NT its not possible

what is this hurlPNM used for ?
stop the program that is using this, remove this program from the startup-list. then reboot, and try it again if that is not working see if you can get to rename it.

you say....PowerReg Scheduler V3.exe....... Crying or Very sad

think we need you HiJack-log

the below is just to clean you log a bit before posting, at the end you find how to get it and what what to do with it
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Download & instal Adaware from http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=506
& update it B4 scanning.
In settings under 'scanning,' have it set to
'scan within archives,'
'scan active processes,'
'scan registry,'
'deepscan registry'
'scan my IE Favourites for banned URL's,'
'scan my host's file.'
Remove what it finds by placing a check in the box to the left of the object. Reboot

Download & instal Spybot S&D from http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=download Update it before scanning.
After the scan is complete, have spybot fix everything marked RED.
On the page that first opens when you start Spybot there is an option to immunise, you should do this.

Download CWShredder from http://www.computercops.biz/downloads-file-349.html run it. Select the fix button & it will get rid of everything related to CoolWebSearch. Close ALL other programs & windows, including IE, before running CWShredder.
Reboot

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DO THIS
Download : HiJack This! from http://computercops.biz/downloads-cat-14.html

Create and Unzip to a folder, not your Desktop or the Temp folder, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".
When the scan is finished, use "Save Log" button, save the log in a text file,
and post it here http://computercops.biz/f67-Trend_Micro_HijackThis_Logs.html

DO NOT FIX ANYTHING YOURSELF NOW, JUST WAIT FOR AN EXPERT TO HAVE A LOOK AT YOUR LOG

cu
