If you were trying to post a log in the Hijackthis forum and you ended up here, please follow these instructions. Your attempt to post was saved, but will not be serviced until you post an updated log. To view the post you just made, locate the link from Your Account.

1. Download the latest version of Hijackthis

2. Create and Unzip to a folder, not your Desktop or the Temp folder, Update it, use the "CONFIG" button, then press "MISC TOOLS" followed by " Check for update online after the update press the "Back" button.

3. Then doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".
When the scan is finished, use "Save Log" button, save the log in a text file, best to save your text file in the same folder as where you put HiJackthis.

***DO NOT FIX ANYTHING, MAJOR DAMAGE CAN BE DONE TO YOUR SYSTEM IF THIS TOOL IS USED INCORRECTLY, PLEASE WAIT FOR STAFF TO HELP YOU***

4. Create a New Topic in Hijackthis- Spyware, Viruses, Worms, Trojans Oh My! Click the New Topic button on the top left.

5. Copy/Paste the info from your saved Hijackthis log file into your new topic.

6. Include any symptoms your computer is displaying.
