All drives disabled after upgrading

All my drives (CD, DVD, Zip, and floppy) were disabled (not recognized) after upgrading to Symantec's Norton Internet Security 2004. If I uninstall it they all work, what gives? Running XP.

The following urls list problems with removable media i.e. floppy,CD,DVD and zip drives.

The documents mention that there can be more than one fix for the above problem. Read and if they do not fix your problem come back to this thread and re-post. When the problems are fixed it would be appreciated post that also.
