I get the message, can not find shell.dll when trying to install avg.
I am running XP Home, and IE6. I created avg rescue disks on another machine and ran AVG from DOS. There were 29 trojans, which were removed, but the problem of installing avg still exists. Also my home page redirects. I have run ad-aware and CWS. Please help

Hi dani290,
Not sure if you still need help but in case you still have problem installing AVG because of missing shell.dll, you can get a copy of from http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?shell
Once done, try installing AVG again.
