hey everyone. im new around here. i recently started using avg internet security suite 7.5. in trial mode currently. my question is is there any way to have virus automatically deleted or send to the vault. what i mean is say i have the resident shield on and i visit a webpage or download a file that it recongnizes as a virus is there a way to have it automatically delete it or send it to the vault without any user interaction? any insight would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

yes i did. i also had a friend of mine who has a regestered version send an email to grisoft support (shortly after first posting this topic). there response is that there is no such feature as part of avg. that feature is only available while testing (manual scan). they say its a security feature. i had only tried out avg because it was the suite and my current av subscription is almost up plus i dont have a firewall. but i think im gonna have to look at other alternitives as i prefer to have that feature. i currently use avast pro (subscription is almost up though). any suggestions on other alternitives are more than welcome. be it a full suite or a firewall that would compliement my avast pro well. not outpost though as i need fast user switching and even though they say its supported its not. also keep in mind it should be something fairly light on resources. like i said any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks for checking on my topic. cheers.

You should be able to find the option you're looking for with AVG Internet Security by doing the following:
-Open the Virus Vault
-Click Service
-Click Program Settings
There you can modify the options in question.

unitednetworks,
Do you have a tab or setting, that I don't see.
The OP's question was in regards to the Virus Detected pop up.
Wanting it to automatically delete or quarantine the file,
without user interaction,or the pop up.
I can understand AVG's reasoning for this not being a feature.
Files mysteriously disappearing with no warning or notice, would be very uncool. _________________ MS's "New Coke"
