optimizing;

i like that word.

ntregoptimizer is one of my favorites to use after a system clean-up.

it tightens-up my registry.

It is slower now 127ppm 12.510s (9.834s)

What is your server status?

Over at TSG they have this right now at there Tech Support Guy
Server Status page. http://status.techguy.org/

Quote:
SERVER ALERTS
6/15/2007 - Our datacenter management is having PEPCO perform critical repairs to the building's power system, as well as completing a high-voltage re-torque on the building power feeds, as required by law every three years. The generator will be turned on during the maintenance to prevent the datacenter from going offline. In addition, they have secured a backup generator and will have engineers on-site in the event of a failure of the main generator system. No site problems are expected.

Maybe you need re-torque things too Paul. :p

The slowness is all gone now for me. A HUGE improvement! Wonderful. Smile

But I'd take slowness anytime over what has happened over at dslr. I feel for them as it sounds like a major pain in the-you-know what to get the site back up.

"Thu Jun 21 21:58:42 EDT 2007
==================================================
DSLR is offline at the moment, total power failure at the
data center we use (www.nac.net) an hour ago means we have
to bring servers up individually, and check for errors.

update:
Thu Jun 21 23:09:54 EDT 2007
Looks like this is going to take hours to sort out
and we're off to do an all nighter at the data center Sad "

Then it took 11.690s for my post above to go tru.
Plus another 33.280s to get back to this page.

Was going to edit the post above to add this info to it but that's just more wait time. Smile
