I'm not sure this is the best you can do Paul. I really think there is a problem somewhere. I have not seen speeds this slow since the days of 14.4 dial up. No joke, it is really that slow. I've waited ages just to post this message. _________________ http://www.myspace.com/ryanchristianrobles

A year ago we didn't process over a thousand queries per second. | Yeah, but at the expense of what? How many of those queries are for the forums, and how many are for other projects, such as PIRT and related projects? While I appreciate the work done on the added projects, it would seem the focus of attention, and resources, have been pulled from here, rather than adding new resources to support the status quo plus the new projects. Fine for folks that concentrate their attention there, but not for those that spend their time in the forums.
I feel sorry for those that have no recourse but to come here seeking help for the products they purchased. With this being the official forum for MailWasher and other Firetrust products, the inconsistent and frequent performance issues could reflect unfavorably on them too.
And yes, after the outage this morning, it is running much quicker! But not great. It took 25 seconds for this page to load to edit add this sentence.
I note that CounterSpy does not list CastleCops as a partner or affiliate, nor do they list CastleCops anywhere on their site for support, yet the CastleCops forums reports to be the "Official" Sunbelt forums. It seems if that were still true, Sunbelt would say so. _________________

Sunbelt stopped sponsoring CastleCops in December of 2007. We were waiting for an official announcement from them to post here, but it never came. So then this is the official announcement.
As I get the cycles, I'll remove the 'official' from the name. _________________ Paul Laudanski - http://www.laudanski.com

Yes it is not good here.... twice a day I visit all my regular forums. The other half a dozen I quickly scan and read what I want, including the very busy Opera community. Spend 10-15 minutes sat waiting for CastleCops to do its job. Certainly very little traffic on the forums so mystified where all this alleged traffic is coming from!

| Quote: | | ...so mystified where all this alleged traffic is coming from! | No, the traffic is high, no doubt on my part. Just not for the forums, and the priority and interests, especially after last year's DDoS attack, has not been to keep CCSP from further deterioration. Or so it seems from this outside observer, long time (and continuing) contributor, teacher, part-time student, and frequent troublemaker here at CastleCops. This truly saddens me. _________________

The site is operating in a DEGRADED mode of operation now.
you just have to click on a given link and find something else to do while it decides whether it is going to load or not. _________________ I wish you all the best and nothing less.
