I'm thinking that you may want to consider shutting down your user accounts and starting new......I realize/realise it is a big PIA but.......you have obviously dropped your addys in a not so gooda place....... _________________ 101st Abn Div. If you need to empty MS messages from your server mailbox, use EREMOVE.
Go to eremove.com. Its free.
You view the headers and choose the ones you want to delete before they get to your computer.
I also have set my Eudora mail program to delete mail on server after one day.
It may not work with YAHOO mail as they no longer allow access by others.

I agree with phoenix22, you should get your ISP to assign a new email address to you.
In the meanwhile, do a search for free pop3 and sign yourself up with a few throw-away addresses to use for forums/newsletters/newsgroups/any "friends or family members" that do not use BCC (blind carbon copy) when sending mass emails, signing up for free stuff, anything that doesn't reqiure a real address (as far as I'm concerned, there's very few things that require my real address).
I use online mail (Yahoo/Hotmail) for freebie signups, and empty those accounts out about once every 2 weeks. If they get over filled more quickly than I delete them, I just start up a new throw-away account for the freebie stuff.
If you want to sign up for something that requires an email address, but don't want them to have any of your email addresses, try Mailinator. I don't think that every place that requires an email is an address thief, many are protecting themselves from auto-signup bots by having us verfiy that we're not a bot by having us go through the motions of an email (then again many ARE address thieves).
Just make up any name, put an @mailinator.com after your fake name, then go to mailinator and enter that name into the field to check the email. I believe the mail expires in 2 hours.
I don't recommend signing up for forums with Mailinator. How would you be able to subscribe to a topic/forum, and recieve notifications of PM's?
For newsletters, I use Softhome, who are usually pretty reliable, but don't give a lot of bandwidth...most newsletters I sign up for don't send out large mails. You can check your Softhome acct from online.
I use HotPop for family/friends because they allow more bandwidth than Softhome does, and this group sends larger mails (html). Last I checked, Hotpop doesn't have online mail yet, but it's in the works.
I use a second HotPop account for my family/friends that don't BCC mass mails (I got tired of telling them over and over to not include me unless they BCC me, and feeling like I was hurting their feelings, so I don't preach to them about this, I just change my address if it becomes junked up from them mass mailing...it's not the problem it was a few years ago, but it still happens).
Does that sound weird having that many email addresses? Well, I believe having throw away addresses helps keep the virus spread down on my end. I think I might have recieved 2-3 infected mails during that big infection week recently. I do get spam occasionally, but they mostly go to my spam folder (I used this filter tutorial by CecilW for setting up my Eudora filters).
Also, when my main ISP's mail server goes out occasionally, I can STILL email if I can get online, because both Softhome and Hotpop also give SMTP with their free accounts. With Hotpop, you have to check your mail before they'll let you send mail out, but Softhome doesn't have this rule (Softhome's SMTP port is 25000 so make sure to change that in your STMP area for port).
Good luck learning to combat mail abuses, and protecting your primary address! It's not a fun thing at first

Ann, the only real problem here is that you think that your concerns are not important. Anytime you have a problem we are here for you to ask, in fact we kind of like it.

The latest version of MWP (v3.3) now has autodelete for filters and for those messages that the hueristics determine probably/definitely harbor viruses. If you can manage to leave it running conencted to the Internet 24/7, it should help.
