I apologize for my grumpiness in that last post. It was really frustating working on that PC for 3 weeks and not finding a solution.
Ikeb;
I did repost the same isssue after reading that wonderful thread (somewhere) on how to post properly in these forums. Neither topic was answered (from 8/16/04 until 9/26/04). And one of the FAQ's notes that bumping threads is frowned upon.
It just sucks that there's no real solution out there.
But thanks anyway and i hope XP's restore function will keep me covered from here on out.

log1gt, while I'm happy to hear from you, I'm sorry to hear that your problem hasn't been resolved in spite of "following channels". Unfortunately staff is snowed under on a daily basis. Reality is that if your post hasn't been answered within 5 days, it never will be - except possibly someone might be around to suggest that you repost..
Thus the current recommendation is that if your post hasn't been answered in 5 days, to please repost the problem as a new topic. Bumping posts is not an effective way of getting attention 'cause the staff will take a second post to mean that your OP is being acted on by someone else and won't even bother reading the topic. It might help to reference the previous topic in the reposted topic but make sure the essentials are in the repost; staff doesn't have time to gather all the pertinent facts from previous topics. There are just too many users with problems and not enough staff to deal with them all, especially WRT HJT log analysis.
BTW, it really helps if your post title clearly states the nature of the problem (not just "Help me!" or something equally uninformative). Also, a good background explanation also helps the staff who read your post . That little tidbit that seems out of place may just twig with one of the experts and gets the show rolling.

Their office isn't open yet because of the timezone they are in. I will call and see if we can get some kind of resolution to this shortly.

Hi Wandrinstar,
Let's try this first:
1. Open up your browser and delete all of your cache and temporary internet files.
2. Delete any copies of the partial installation file.
3. You could even get more thorough and delete any local temp files
3. Then try and download it again:

If that doesn't work we can work a different method. I am leaving for the weekend in half an hour so hopefully you can wait over the weekend if the above method didn't work.
