I want to participate in this effort too. I can send you my CV for background checking if you want.
I already participate in an effort called Malware Block List which lists URLs that point to Malware. These URLs are sent in phishing e-mail messages.

I'm interested in helping. I've been doing this on my own for a while on the ones my family receives.
I'm a college student so I am up at all different hours to work on it.
IMs are the best contact but email works well too.

I'm a security buff and phishing scams are one of the biggest annoyances out there. I report phishing scams to targeted companies almost every day. I'd like to help in any way with this new initiative.

Sounds like a great idea. I see you've received quite a few responses. Hope you have plenty of room for helpers!
I'd also be more than happy to help with the effort. I've spent days at a time removing malware and such from people's computers and would love to see a decrease of anything related.

Nor sure how much time I have free, but I've always had time to try to report something wrong to the ISP who is "unknowingly" hosting a bad site.

I'd like to help as a handler. I just reported a paypal phish that I just received, and I've contacted web sites in the past that were unknowingly hosting a phishing site.
I've got an interest in this since I run a small hoby site, and it's been hacked a few times and they've posted trojan files that linked to by bank phishing emails.
So, this stuff really %&$$@* me off!
