Since Updation problems have been a major talking point here, I thought this might be of interest to the users of AntiVir.

My company provides licenses of McAfee's antivirus to its employees for home use and so I thought, why not try it out since I get it for free.

And even though the product is pretty good, I have to download its signature file, which is 3.9 MB in size at its minimum. Also, during statrtup, I see that the program is using in total about 20 MB RAM. That's a lot compared to AntiVir.

So, people who complain, be happy you dont have to download a file the size of AntiVir everytime you want to update your antivirus. Smile

Hi satishincbs,

Welcome to CastleCops and our AVPE Forum. Very Happy

Thanks for the accolades. Having to download nearly 4 Mb just to get an update is daunting to people who only have dialup.

Broadband DSL or Cable are much faster. I get my AntiVir updates in about 20 seconds. On Cable it takes 5 seconds or less. Wink

Best regards
