I have been told that this series is very popular, going like hotcakes all over the world. I consider that fine praise indeed. I wrote this series as a labor of love, and from some hardship. Many years ago, when I started on the Internet, I dearly wished for articles such as these. I have read the various self-help books, and although helpful to some extent, they did not get right to the meat of the matter; so how do I secure my Windows operating system and my computer without going back to school and with a limited budget?
The Windows Security Checklist is evolving. It started as a heading for the series but since has become the byline of my Sunday Column at CastleCops. Windows Security is a huge subject with a multitude of topics of interest and importance.

I wrote these articles as gifts to all Microsoft Windows users who need security and product help along the way. Blessings be with you.
Later edit: You will note that the last article was written in December, 2005. Since then I have been writing a book for Wiley Publishing called, Rootkits For Dummies, now due to published in January, 2007.
As a spinoff from the book we have established the Rootkit Revelations Forums, to help people who need expert and experienced help with rookit infections. See you there. _________________
