"C:\WINDOWS\prefetch\CCAPP.EXE-1027B2A5.pf" is that file in that location a virus/spyware/malware, or anything of that sort, because i use norton internet security, and i also have this file in this location "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccApp-103.0.1.26-2005-11-23-21-07-00-983.dmp" and i know one is used to run norton, but what i cant tell is which one or both, also when i try and shut down/restart my computer a window pops up saying "ccApp.exe Is Not Responding..." and when i click end now my computer still doesnt shut down so i have to cut the power, and if i just let it go and dont click end now it still wont shut down, so either way i'm forced to cut off the power or click the restart button, what is the best thing for me to do about both problems?...[/code]

Having similar problems, although mine started yesterday after a firmware update for an old dvd RW, having said that, the date last modified on the file is about 3days earlier...
i am running XP, and so far have been able to shut my pc down successfully...
