All I can repeat in my head over and over is: ohmygosh .. ohmygosh
After 40-something years of wondering, tonight I actually found a real, live, honest-to-goodness member of my family! Yep, I'm adopted.
He happened to have a post on a forum at Genealogy.com, just asking in general if there was anyone there from his city and state. I only joined the site 5 days ago. Tonight thru a google, I found his post and responded.
wow.  Weird, scary, and fantabulous all at the same time.

Thanks, Mister2! I don't want to push myself on him/them; after all, I'm not even sure if they know I exist. So I wrote that if his family doesn't want to go beyond the letter that it was ok - just asked him to please post a few words so I'd know that he saw my post. I'd hate to go the rest of my life wondering if he never saw it or chose not to explore.
