OK, I bought Norton, installed it, and it came up with three things I needed to do: 1.Update definitions (done), 2.run a full system scan (done), 3. turn on automatic updates. I have no desire to work with automatic updates.

How do I get rid of this? Surely it is my choice if I want to do updates of not? At the moment there is a red cross on the desktop toolbar!!

If I cannot fix this I am going to ditch this softwaare and look elsewhere.

Good idea! Ditch it. Norton sucks!

Save yourself hassle and time. Norton likes to be tended like a spoiled brat.

The business of the updates is only the beginning. There's lots more aggravations and vexations awaiting the unwary with NAV. Just read over some of the posts here and you will see.
