I'm running fully updated NAV 2005 on W2K and I'm behind a router. IP 4.2.2.1/4.2.2.2 are my DNS servers. The below messages are from the NAV logs:

"Intrusion detected and blocked. All communication with 4.2.2.2 will be blocked for 30 minutes."

"Details: Attempted Intrusion "MS SQL PacketResolution DoS" against your machine was detected and blocked.
Intruder: 4.2.2.1(domain(53)).
Risk Level: Medium.
Protocol: UDP.
Attacked IP: 0.0.0.0.
Attacked Port: ms-sql-m(1434).

Click the address to trace the attacker."

The system required a restart to regain connectivity.

Symantec calls this "worm protection".

Seems a bit of overkill to me.
