I have upgraded to AVG 7.5 but now I do not seem to be able to download my emails, Outlook just sits there with the download screen doing nothing.
If I close this down I find an error box message stating the operation could not be done as the program was locked.
I then closed AVG and successfully downloaded my emails
I have been using AVG for years without a hitch so can only assume its something to do with 7.5

It depends on what it is you want to do. If you want to use AVG to scan your E-mail messages, you must properly configure AVG and your E-mail message client. See the "sticky" above for guidance.
