I got the following errors when attempting to use system restore in Vista Home Premium.

Windows could not start The Volume Shadow Copy on local computer. Error Code: 2147418 113

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Is this the first time you have tried to use System Restore?

Run services.msc and verify the Volume Shadow Copy service is present and set to "manual". Try starting it yourself.

Run eventvwr.msc and look for the error you are getting there, use the "copy" feature and paste it here.

Also make sure the disk on which System Restore is enabled has enough space for the restore points.
