I tired updating avg through avg update manager. It sees a pirortey update and updates and then says it was sucsuffull, but then when i restart and re scan for updates the update comes again. So then from 7.5.488 i update to 7.5.503 with a fresh install. Uninstalled previous avg and then delted all files then re installed, after restart goes back to 7.5.488 and still the updates says sucsufull but not being updated.

What OS do you use? And what package did you use for the fresh install - was it the full 7.5.503 build? Fresh install (or install over your existing version with the latest package) should bring you always to the latest build.

I believe 3junior is running Vista and a right click "Run as administrator" on the install program fixed him up.

Proper installation of 503 cannot possibly get him back to 488 - so there must be some other problem. Installing the 503 should really solve the problem as there was some fix regarding Vista and permission in certain scenarios in 503....
