Maybe, it is a DDos attack .

And prolexic appears to be down, too. CC is slow as molasses for that matter, too.

Wow, those greedy spammer cowards are mad.
It's no wonder, too. Those URIBL lists are incredibly effective. I was just looking at yesterday's logs and the URIBL and SURBL lists blocked more than 800 spams sent to my company yesterday, and we have only about 20 e-mail addresses.

It is generally rumored that it was not URIBL.COM that was the target of the DDoS, but the Church of Scientology.
The COS uses Prolexic to protect against DDoS attacks, as does URIBL.COM. The attack on COS via Prolexic affected their other customers, including URIBL.
However, this is unconfirmed.

Appears that surbl.org and uribl.com are down again this morning, but not Prolexic.

UPDATE FROM SITE OWNER
Ever since Anonymous started attacking Scientology, we've been the innocent victim as we are a customer of Prolexic.com, which also protects scientology.org
Prolexic said today's outage was due to network upgrades and they messed up routes, but who knows.
It should be up right now

8 days ago, both uribl.com and wiki.castlecops.com came under a simultaneous DDoS attack.
Neither attack lasted for long. Uribl was back up within a day. The castlecops wiki was taken offline for 8 days and then reinstated.
