|
|
An automatic update was accidently installed on one of my notebooks, I am on another one because the updated one will not connect with any speed, it now operates very very slow, it will connect to the net but takes20 minutes to load a page on a high speed wireless, before the update it was very fast
Not sure if a system restore is the way to go, or if I will loose any new documents, email addy's or what is effective.
Or if there is a way to disable or remove the update.
Any help would be appreciated.

What OS? Do you know what patch(es) was installed? Did you check the eventviewer log for error?

I am running windows xp professional, more badnews, the system restore monitoring for some, reason was turned off.
I went looking forfixes and went into add/remove and removed the last 2 updates, one on the 11th of Nov and other was 15th of Nov.
Doing a system restore to yesterday before I removed anything and after the auto update, hopefully it will show the latest update info.
I will post the latestsoon

Not sure what is going on, but the computer, Fujitsu computer will connect with high speed. The wireless has a X on it and says it will not connect, but I am connected. It does not show the network I connect with. Kinda strange.
Iwill keep working on it.
