After I let my 2 grandsons use my computer I discovered, by clicking on the down arrow in the Internet Explorer address bar, that they had visited a porn address.

Code:
 h[i]tt[/i]p:// www. ybot.com
.
As I sometimes let my grandaughter, 9 yrs. old use my computer, I want to know how I can delete this address from the IE address bar.
This address is preceded by the Internet Explorer icon.

Hi chequer,
Open the tools menu in IE. Select Delete Browsing History. Then you can choose what you want to delete.

Just an FYI, most of the nastiest malware resides on those kind of sites. You may want to run a few extra scans.

Paul,
After I sent my last post it dawned on me that FYI stood for, ' for your information'
I found a site re message shortcut jargon but although it listed, F2F face to face, FOAF Friend of a Friend etc... it did not contain FYI.
Guess I'll have to find another site with a more detailed list.
I'm going on 80, and it's a bit late to try and keep up with the younger generation.

Hi chequer,
I'm glad I was able to help you. Sorry about the "FYI" thing.

I don't do that chat thing either, but I'm sure my kids will when they get a bit older. I just hope that they don't forget how to speak and write the English language in the process.

Here are some that I have learned on this site:
AFAIK - as far as I know
IIRC - if I remember correctly
BTW - by the way
LOL - laugh out loud
ROTFLMAO - rolling on the floor, laughing my arse off
PEBKAC - problem exists between keyboard and chair

I give up on trying to fathom out on what kids do today.
What is their spelling going to be like in the future when they now rely on WORD'S spelling and grammer checker.
There is a move afoot to drop the vowels from words, ie yrs = yours, frnd =friend, arnd = around etc....
I shudder when I see, on TV, how children hold their pens to write.
In my days this would incur a rap across the knuckles with the edge of the teachers ruler.
