Using Windows XP MCE on an HP Pavilion a1330n

I have been getting a popup error when doing various things such as reading newsgroups, browsing the internet (using IE 7), restarting the computer, and just about any other process. It's pretty random.

What the popup error says is

"Error-Log file size has been exceeded. Login process has been terminated"

I have tried clearing the Event Viewer events in each log, and setting them to overwrite as needed, but the error persists. Any ideas?

If any more info is needed, just ask and I will try to provide it.

Thanks

Thanks.

Also, your nic sounds familiar. Are you by chance on the DSLReports site or perhaps a computer help newsgroup? I know I have seen it before.

I use his nic pretty much every where I go - I haven't posted in a *very* long time at DSLR, but I do still visit there every now and again to test my settings.

I visit many different computer help sites occasionally, and I hang out @ CoU MalwareBytes, Shemes, TabMixPlus, and a couple of other places frequently.

Ok then it must be from DSLR that I remember you. I have been a member since 2001.
