I have a friends dead gateway system that wont post - I have determined that the Mo-board went belly up.

My problem is that he wants his user IDs and passwords for all his Internet Explorer sires that he visits transfered to a new computer. He doesn't remember all of his IDs and passwords and doesn't want to go through all of the effort of digging them up. What I understand is that these items are in 'protected storage' in an XP system.

His old HDD that has his information is an IDE drive and the new computer only supports SATA. Because of that I will probably install his old hard drive into a external USB HDD enclosure. Given all this, does anyone have any ideas as to how I can access that 'protected storage' and transfer his user IDs passwords to his new system?

Any ideas appreciated,

Joe
