Hi,
I have recently uninstalled mcafee antivirus, I have used the mcafee programme uninstaller but when I try to install AVG during installation it tells me that another antivirus progranne is running on my PC, and it advises me to abort the install, I know the dangers of installing two antivirus programmes.
Should I ignore the AVG warning or is there something I can do to stop the warning ?

It looks like remnants of Mcafee are still present after the uninstall. They provide a removal tool to uninstall Mcafee products but I've never used it so I don't know how well it works.
