Hi Folks, I am having a problem and going around in circles when trying to get help from Microsoft.

I have lost the ability to right click on a piece of music and have the "Add to now playing list," nor "Add to playlist."

Can anyone help me with this.

It would be greatly appreciated.

Ron

You might be having interference from another media player/music managing program. See:

http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html

Scroll down to "Q: Why did "Add to Playlist" disappear for MP3 files?"

If that doesn't work, try using System Restore to return your computer to a restore point before you had the problem. Also try reinstalling WMP.

Hi jama,

ko27 gave me the answer.
I discovered realplayer had the menu items attached to it. I unistalled realpleayer - didn't help, then I also uninstalled quicktime and then winmedia player 10
(wouldn't ever use version 11 again. It is junk that tries to tie up all your music by making you purchase a license for each song).

I rebooted and then reinstalled Winmedia player and all my windows explorer right-click menus worked again. Idea

Hope you have luck if you are having the same problem.
Ron

Hi Ron,

thanks for describing the solution to your problem, I was just
being curious, having four different media-players on my w2000
system (installed by my precious twin daughters).

Cheers,
Manfred
