Hi Everyone
Why can't the donation total be updated? This question has been asked for months. It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to do. I can't believe that no one has been keeping track of what the loyal members/users of this site have given to keep it up and running. Is it a secret? Is there going to be a big surprise one day?
What else do we have to do? It seems to me that some of the more faithful have given up on the site. It used to be that you could not go to "Updates" without there being something new there. Now it's sometimes days before anything changes at all.

Hi Tom,
The owners of CastleCops, and the only ones who have the main power over CastleCops, are in a very busy period. That is why things like the server thing has not been updated, but also new premium accounts have not been given right permissions yet.
The reason why some have left is that there was to much downtime. Some prefer helping not at all above start helping somebody and not being able to finish it because of server downtime. A couple of times it has been for weeks or even months..
The future of CastleCops is currently unknown, but do we know about the future of anything?

Thanks for your response. Everything you said, I already knew. It has been over four months since the owners had a change in their situation. The longer it takes for this site to get up and going gives "the bad guys" more time to get ahead in the game they play. There should be no doubt about the future of CC! It must keep up, no mater what. It is way too important, for so many, that it does.

Luckily, there a lot of other forums like CastleCops who are fighting, so they do not really have the chance to get away with things. Still, CastleCops is an important 'soldier' and would be a big loss in the fight.
I hope that if the owners tell us more they will also tell the rest and not only the staff. We will see..

Hi Tom,
Sorry that things haven't been updated. In the past 4 months, we moved across the country, had a baby, Paul started a new job, had some serious server panic issues and had the court sentence Greg King aka SilenZ, the guy responsible for the Feb 2007 DDoS against us, to 2 yrs in Federal Prison and 3 years probation. I would have liked it to be longer, but something is better then nothing.
I've just disabled the little blurb at the top of the page about the server drive as it badly needs to be updated, and it took me a while to sort out where Paul put the code for it. I'll probably turn it back on once I have a more accurate total for everyone (wont be today).
We are still fighting the good fight...
