Could it be that the long post before that was somehow truncated, and not all HTML tags properly closed?

There is a limit to post size (hence why folk post long log files in multiple posts) but I've never seen it have that effect.

It was actually very funny to watch it on Internet Explorer: it first appeared perfectly normal, then slowly everything started shifting to the right. Try it!

You're right - how very strange!
Doesn't seem to do it once the page is in the cache.

I've seen it happen before where the end quote is chopped off. So edited it, removed the last line:

#956 sungvinson44.geocities.com

and its OK.
