|
|
I've had major "issues" with my HP desktop. After 11 destructive restores and hardware being replaced, they are offering me a new computer. (Let's hear it for extended warranties! ) My dilema is that all the new ones have VISTA.
Curious question, does anyone know if I take the new system and buy XP myself, if I save the HP programs (such as their help and diagnostic programs) from the program files, would I be able to add them in after installing XP over the VISTA?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated. I have to give them an answer by Friday.

No. That would be considered piracy and is illegal.
What kind of programs are they? There could be other freeware that would do the same or better job than the HP software.
Also, just FYI, you got this in the wrong board. This one is for ZoneAlarm. But I am going to leave it here, and copy it to the Software board so that you will get others opinions as well. _________________ For ZoneAlarm help http://www.donhoover.net
