The title says it all,
The first 5 minutes, my internet is normal, but after 5 minutes of browsing it becomes extremely annoying and it would take a whole 5 minutes just to load a page.
Any ideas why this could be happening?
OS: Windows XP HE, i have DSL 768kbps

I did all the needed scans, and my internet is still the same.
Any suggestions how I can fix this?

I am pretty sure its not malware or a virus that is causing this
Could it be a problem with the wires? I readjusted them many times tho,
what other reasons could be doing this?

Microsoft downloads? How long has this been happening? Use your Resource Monitor to confirm whether network activity is rising and which process(es) is(are) grabbing B/W.
