Hi Guys (& Gals),
Got a message AVG 7.5 will "no longer be supported" and tried the new AVG 8... Didn't like it and switched to Avast.
My Problemo is... I have a long distance friend running AVG 7.5. She has dial-up internet. Do I need to send her Avast on a disk and help her load it over the phone? Or will the old AVG 7.5 keep updating virus signitures and protect her OK, and only program updates will stop.
She's got a older VIA chip in her 'puter and needs an AV with a light footprint or she really gets boged down. Would Avast be a better AV for her? Or should I leave well enough alone as long as the AVG 7.5 seems to be working?
