No matter what computer I'm on on my parent's home network, there is always a problem with aim. We have macs, multiple laptops, pcs, etc. Every one of them will connect to aim, but will have frequent disconnections, and then be unable to reconnect. This happens irrespective to computer, so it's not computer-specific, but obviously network specific. Anybody have any ideas?

There are two routers in the house, my dad has some weird setup where one of the routers is acting as an access point. however, it doesn't matter which one I'm connected to, be it the main one or the repeater, and they are both titled "Dawson", so they share the same name. Please let me know what steps I should be taking!!

My first guess would be to change the name on one of them....

It didn't used to be named the same. However, prior to the names being the same, there were the same problems.
