Explorer locks up after it is open for a few minutes, both when running in the background and not. I'm running Vista w/o Windows Defender, but I use NOD32 and scan often. I noticed intermitent pop-ups from Internet Explorer (though I use FireFox 3). I killed the pop-ups with XSoftSpySE, but the lockups still occur regularly.
